The My Passport SSD comes with a very short USB cable and a small USB-C to USB-A adapter. Given the high speeds and small form factor, this isn't totally unexpected, however, and didn't lead to any performance issues. The drive does run hot and is noticeably warm to the touch after just a few minutes of use.
